Content creator and host of the popular show ‘Reading Rainbow,’ Mychal Threets, opened up about his recent life events and his path to recovery. The 36-year-old told his fans almost a week ago about his mental health and his plan to get admitted into a hospital. Now, the star librarian and content creator opened up about his recent life events and even apologised to fans for worrying them about his well-being.

Mychal Threets shares a health update

Taking to his Threads account, Threets shared a video of himself explaining what has been happening in his life over the past week and everything that he has been going through. He said, “I just wanted to apologise for worrying so many people. I just got back from a five-day stay at the hospital, a five-day psychiatric hold. I haven’t been okay for what feels like a very, very long time.He further commented, “I am not okay, but I have hope I will get to okay. I’m on the struggle bookmobile. It’s going to take a long time for me to be okay.” He also thanked all of the people who helped him at the psychiatric facility, including the doctors, nurses, and all of the mental health professionals who looked after him. He expressed gratitude to his friends and family, along with every fan for their supportive messages.He concluded his post by saying, “Three, six, nine, it’s okay to not be fine. We’re struggling. We’re human beings. We’re doing our best. Thank you for being you. Thank you for staying. Maybe I’ll see you at the library. I’ll see you tomorrow. I love you.”

About Mychal Threets’ older video

Almost a week ago, he took to social media to share an update, saying he was not doing well and needed medical intervention. In the video, ‘I’m So Glad You’re Here: A Celebration of Library Joy,’ he spoke about wanting to get admitted, saying, “I am not okay. Maybe I’ll never be okay. I’m seeking help. Going to the [hospital] tomorrow. In this moment I am safe. By God’s grace.” In the video, he had also thanked all of the “extraordinary” people in his life for their love and support.Over the years, the social media influencer has often spoken out about how he is struggling a lot with mental health issues and how he wants to move past all of this.
