1. Devotees who observe Chaturthi fast should wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath. 2. Clean the space where you want to set up an altar. 3. Place an idol of Lord Ganesha on a wooden plank, spread a yellow or red cotton cloth and light a diya with desi ghee. 4. Invoke the idol by chanting Ganesha mantras, offer durva grass, flowers and incense stick and other sacred items.5. Offer boondi laddo, modaks and five seasonal fruits and dry fruits to Lord Ganesha. 6. Chant Ganesha Atharvashirsha for removing the obstacles and seek his blessings. 7. Complete the Ganesha puja by reciting the Ganesha aarti.
